Hoover Dam Bypass Progress
Friday, July 11th, 2008Hey Everyone, check out these pictures I took of the Hoover Dam Bridge under construction. I took them on July 6th. It’s really coming along and amazing to see. This is going to be SO helpful to drivers that want to cross to or from Arizona.
You may remember when the wind blew so strong, it knocked one of the construction cranes over. That delayed the project, but now it’s full steam ahead.
This is going to have a major affect on traffic here. The current path is one way in each direction once you get close the Dam and it just is not enough to handle the traffic. You mix visitors with tourists wanting to actually pull over and see this magnificent Dam and it’s just too much.
You look up at that bridge though, and wonder, how will they build the crossover piece! Each side is done, but the center is missing. We all know, it’s coming, and I can’t wait to watch it happen!
