15-Year-Old Shot to Death

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy who died after he was shot in the stomach.

Police were called to an apartment in the 1400 block of North Sandhill road on Tuesday afternoon. Detectives were told the victim had a gun and when another boy, a 17-year-old, attempted to take it from him, the gun went off. The 17-year-old has not been arrested and the shooting is under investigation.

Body Found Inside SUV Parked in NLV Neighborhood

North Las Vegas Police found a body inside an SUV Saturday morning. Police say the man died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The body was discovered in a deserted neighborhood near Cheyenne and Commerce. Police say the victim was an African-American man and was shot at least once.

Witnesses told police the vehicle the victim was found in had been parked on the street for some time.

No suspect has been identified yet in this case.

NLV Police Arrest Murder Suspect

On Wednesday, North Las Vegas Police arrested 19-year-old David Lee Turner for murder with a deadly weapon.Police say Turner killed a 22-year-old man on December 23, 2007.

Police were called to the area of Kings and Royal just after midnight on the 23rd. When they arrived at the scene, they found a 22-year-old man who had been shot.

The victim was transported to University Medical Center where he died two days later.

Turner was taken into custody by North Las Vegas Police Detective without incident and is currently being held at the North Las Vegas Detention Center.
