Officers are looking for a man they say violently attacked and robbed an elderly woman. The incident happened on May 21 in a stairwell in the area of Flamingo and Arville.
The victim had recently left work and was waiting for a bus. The suspect is seen on video surveillance passing the victim on the stairwell, then coming back down.
As the suspect again meets up with the victim on the stairwell, he repeatedly punches her in the face and head. The victim falls to the ground and the suspect takes her purse and flees the area.
Metro Police is requesting assistance in identifying the suspect. He is described as a black male in his early 30’s, 6 foot 2 inches and about 220 pounds. He was wearing jean shorts, white shoes, a dark t-shirt and baseball hat.
