The FBI has joined the effort to find a college student believed to have been kidnapped from Reno.  

19-year-old Brianna Denison was last seen around 4 a.m. Sunday, when she fell asleep on her friend’s couch after a night of partying.

Police say drops of blood were found where she was sleeping and the door to the home was unlocked.

Denison was last seen around 4 a.m. Sunday. A family member says Denison had been out with friends, and went to a friend’s house to sleep on the sofa. A few hours later, Brianna had vanished.

Brianna’s aunt says Brianna’s cell phone and purse were left behind at the friend’s house. That house is near Mackay and College, not far from the UNR campus.

Police say they found a string of text messages on her cell phone between Denison and her boyfriend that lead them to believe they were breaking up.

Denison’s aunt says she believes her niece may have known who took her. “What scares me is, like the dog not barking. Did he know that person that came in? Did they sleep through a dog barking? Why did Brianna not scream?” said Rena Denison.

Brianna is a student at Santa Barbara College. She has family in Reno.

She is five feet tall, 98 lbs, has long dark hair and blue eyes. She may have been wearing light blue or pink sweat pants and a white tank top. Police also say a brown stuffed bear is missing from the home. It is believed to be in the possession of Brianna Denison.

Police are also looking for the driver of a beige or light brown Chevrolet or GMC suburban. The driver is reported to be a white male, about 45-years-old, possibly of Latin descent, medium height and weight and well dressed.

The man picked up a friend of Denison’s and drove her to the address where Denison went missing. The vehicle was seen leaving the Sand’s Regency Hotel Casino parking lot on a surveillance camera.

The man is not believed to be a suspect, but may have information relative in this case.
