Fast acting police work has at least one person in custody, along with evidence from a coin truck robbery yesterday morning.

“This is part of our commitment to the community that we would jump on top of these robberies and we would do it quick. Again, we got some information, we didn’t sit on it for 2 days and this is where we are at,” said Metro Robbery Lt. Clint Nichols.

Metro Robbery said they immediately checked on information – which led them to a home near Topaz and Russell.

They say the coin truck robbery happened at about 7 a.m. yesterday morning and by 5 p.m. last night, they had at least one suspected thief in custody along with some evidence from the robbery.

The on-going investigation may result in more arrests.
