A Spring Valley High School student is under arrest for having a gun on school property.
Clark County School Police say they were doing a routine inspection in the parking lot around 10:30 a.m. when they noticed a car with a broken window. Police say they observed what appeared to be a gun inside the car.
The student was removed from class and questioned. School police say the student admitted to having a rifle in the car. As it turned out, what police observed was a BB gun, but the unloaded rifle was in the car's trunk.
