Bicyclist Hit and Killed in Northwest

A bicyclist was killed Thursday morning near Durango and Elkhorn after being hit by a mini-van.
According to police, the female bicyclist was riding with the flow of traffic on Durango when the driver of the mini-van came up behind the woman and hit her. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The van’s driver told police he did not see the bicyclist.
The van’s driver also hit a tree, but was uninjured. Eyewitness News at Noon will have the latest.

have you guys found out who that young women was cause many students from cadwallader middle school are very woried that it is their loving science/tv production teacher mrs.trunnier. the students from cadwallader loved her very much and we dont know if it will be the same next year with out her. she was a very kind and helpfull women. she loved working with her students wether it was for life science or if was for tv productions. she enjoyed helping the students learn how to turn a power point into the mornig annocements. next year will definately not be the same with out her.

The Coroner’s office hasn’t released the identity of the victim yet.
