Once again the project management team at the city center project in Las Vegas can claim yet another fatality to their growing list of construction workers death but it seams that no tragedy or extensive record of injuries is serious enough for osha or the city state or federal governments to do anything about it in fact the construction workers in the area refer to the project as the city cemetery and any one who has been present at one of their infamous orientations can tell you that its an hour filled with direct attempts at intimidation and coercion directed towards the new hire employee employees are constantly harassed intimidated and threatened with their jobs when they try to voice their concerns regarding the hazardous conditions found on the job site employees are forbidden from even talking in the hallways during work hours management is certainly pushing this job with a iron fist and will stop at nothing to maintain their grip control of this project no matter who stands in their way or how many more lives are lost before the completion of this project
I have done many searches on the net regarding this accident and have only found a few words and not very much information about the accident i think enough is enough and several issues should be investigated .their attempts at harrasment and intimadation i belive qualify under the rico statue as a violation of federal law . and not to mention the many whistle blower laws in place that protect employees from retribution .a managment that has only a reactive policy toward safty will only continue to see these tragities occure over and over again only when they become truly pro active and transparent will the pattern of injuries change and the conditions of the construction workers improve

One thing the article did not tell you is that

47 year old Mark Westcoat Was a Member Of The International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers Local Union 164 Out of newjersey and a father son or brother to someone and there is no doubt that at this moment they are grieving at the news of his loss not to mention his union brothers knowing this should never of happened and i pray for his family

If these injuries would of happened in my house i surly would have been held accountable for them
