A North Las Vegas man is dead and now police are looking for at least three men for questioning. North Las Vegas police say they need the public's help in solving this murder.
Early Saturday morning, a young man was found shot several times near Main and Owens, north of downtown Las Vegas. He was taken to UMC where he later died.
Police were initially responding to a call of shots fired in the 1700 block of Yale Avenue when the discovered the critically injured 23-year-old victim.
In talking with neighbors, police say the victim lives in the area and was most likely returning home from work.
Sergeant Tim Bedwell described the ambush, “He was attacked right when he was coming home. We don't know exactly what the circumstances are. We'll find out over time. Ultimately this is a tragedy for him and his family.”
Witnesses saw a car leave the scene immediately after the shooting. They described it as a late model white or silver Chrysler 300. Witnesses say they also saw a small red SUV, possibly a Chevy Jimmy or Blazer in the area around the time of the murder.
