One man is dead and two others are wounded after they were gunned down in a North Las Vegas neighborhood Monday evening.

The three victims were all found in three different locations. North Las Vegas police combed over a crime scene spanning more than a block trying to piece together what happened, why it happened, and who did it.

Multiple shots cracked the silence in the neighborhood. North Las Vegas police say one man, believed to be in his late teens or early 20's, died in the middle of the road. Medical transport took the other man and woman to University Medical Center.

Sean Walker, with NLVPD, said, “The other two that have been transported, I don't think their injuries are life-threatening.”

Investigators don't know what happened, don't have any suspects, and they are not sure if the shootings are gang related. They are hopeful that neighbors will help pull the pieces of the puzzle together and help solve the crime.

One man Eyewitness News spoke with didn't want his face shown fearing retaliation. But he thinks the shooting is pay back. He says on Sunday night he heard shots fired but no one was hurt in that incident.

“I am assuming it's retaliation because shots fired in the same area. So I think the guys shooting last night came back and started shooting again,” he said.

He went on to say that the neighborhood has been quiet lately, not much crime and no shootings. He's hoping one day all of it will end.

“The police will do there job but it's got to happen within. These guys have to realize what they are doing to themselves and everyone else,” the man continued.

The two victims transported to UMC were a man and woman. Investigators will be questioning them Monday night.

The police haven't released the name of the man who died, but want anyone with information on the shooting to call CrimeStoppers at 385-5555.
