On the morning of October 8, 61-year-old Raymarie Brown called 911 asking for help, saying she had been stabbed. Metro Officers responded to the scene and found her deceased inside a home. She had been stabbed multiple times.

Homicide detectives responded and the investigation lead to the arrest of the victim’s 27-year-old son, Garrick Brown, who lived with at the house with his mother. Brown arrested for murder with a deadly weapon. He is being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center.

On the night of October 2, Metro Officers responded to a call of a woman shot on Hidden Oasis Court. When they arrived, they found 43-year-old Gloria Tapia shot in the chest. She was transported to UMC where she died a short time later.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene and discovered Tapia was outside at her house with family, celebrating her twenty year anniversary as an employee at a local casino. During the party, a single gunshot was heard and family members realized Tapia had been shot.

There is no suspect description and only a description of a small silver compact vehicle seen leaving the area. There is no motive and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.

On the night of September 26, Metro Officers responded to the 5300 block of Retablo Street after getting reports of shots fired and a man down in the street. When officers arrived, they found 29-year-old Jhon Castano suffering from a single gunshot wound to the stomach.

Castano was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and have determined that there was a disturbance between Castano and the suspects that resulted in his death.

Witnesses say two Latin male adults fled the scene in a 1991 Chevy truck with Nevada license plates. The vehicle is described as being lowered with blue and white graphics on the side.

On the evening of September 25, Metro Officers responded to the 3000 block of Casey Drive after getting reports of a male and female deceased inside a residence.

When officers arrived, they entered the home and found a man and 36-year-old Maria Sanabria-Mendoza dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Homicide Detectives believe this case may be a murder/suicide.

On the morning of September 23, Henderson Police Officers were called to a home in the 1600 block of Coyote Run after getting reports of a man found shot inside a house.

Police say 23-year-old Bilal Bunnery was found by the homeowners, who were not home at the time of the shooting. Bunnery was taken to St. Rose Siena, where he later died.

Police say Bunnery did not live at the house and the homeowners did not know him. No one is in custody in connection with the slaying and detectives are continuing the investigation.

On the evening of September 10, Metro Police Officers responded to a parking lot on the northwest corner of Carson and 8th Street after a body was found in a trash can.

When officers arrived, they found a deceased woman inside the trash can, covered in debris. Homicide detectives responded and are investigating.

The victim was an African-American female in her late 20’s to early 30’s. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Homicide Section at (702) 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.

On the evening of September 7, Metro Officers responded to a stabbing on the 2100
block of Birch Leaf Circle.

When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Martin Moore stabbed and another man, later identified as the suspect in the stabbing.

Moore was transported to UMC Trauma where he died a short time later.

Detectives began investigating and found Moore and 49-year-old Chester Stewart got into an argument and police say Stewart then stabbed Moore.

Stewart was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for murder with a deadly weapon.

On the night of September 4, Metro Officers responded to a shooting at a tattoo shop on the corner of Eastern and Flamingo.

32-year-old Eric Bowden was killed. No other details have been released.

On the morning of September 5, Metro Officers responded to Bally’s Hotel and Casino after getting reports of a possible stabbing inside the main entrance.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and found 24-year-old Talesha Jamerson had been stabbed in the throat and was being treated by Hotel employees.

Jamerson was transported to Sunrise Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Homicide Detectives began investigating and discovered the victim was with two other women when they walked into Bally’s and started arguing. Police say 23-year-old Latrovia Reed then stabbed Jamerson and fled the scene.

Reed was arrested by officers and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for murder with deadly weapon.

On the morning of September 1, Metro Police Officers responded to a shooting on James Paul Avenue. When they arrived, they found 19-year-old Daniel Delgado dead from a gunshot to the chest inside a home.

Homicide Detectives say Delgado was sitting in his garage when he was approached by a suspect who fired several rounds into the garage, striking him. Witnesses saw an unknown race male wearing dark clothing fleeing the scene.
