Las Vegas police say 21-year-old Andreas McRiley was shot a killed when he attempted to rob a home.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on November 14, 2009. McRiley died after being transported to the hospital.

The homeowner says he was forced to shoot McRiley after he broke into his home and held his son at gunpoint. “They kicked the door open, came up to my son’s room and got him out of bed. I heard voices so I grabbed my gun and waited for someone to come into the office,” he said.

The homeowner says he was hiding in his office when he jumped out and shot and killed McRiley. He says two men broke into his home. One intruder got away.

The homeowner has not faced any charges.

Police are investigating the beating death of 53-year-old Larry Leinard. Leinard died at University Medical Center.

Police have arrested Jerry Pough, Sr. for the shooting death of his son, 31-year-old Jerry Pough, Jr.

Police say Jerry was with his father driving home from a bar after a boxing match. Jerry wanted to stop at the store. His father wanted to go straight home. The two argued and the Pough, Sr. shot his son. He was transported to UMC where he later died.

Police say after Pough, Sr. shot his son, two other people in the car escaped. Pough, Sr. drove to the house, left his son in the SUV dying and took off in a rental car.

Pough, Sr. was later arrested near Oakland, California.

A benefit account for Jerry Pough, Jr’s two sons, 8-year-old Phoenix and 3-year-old Pharaoh, has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank.

Police are investigating the shooting death of 41-year-old Timothy Williams. Williams died at University Medical Center on August 7, 2009.

Thirty-six-year-old Hector Rizo was shot to death on August 3, 2009.

Thirty-one-year-old Gerald Hirai died at Sunrise Hospital after being shot in the head.

Police are investigating the death of 37-year-old Anthony Buchanan. Buchanan died from blunt force trauma to the head after a fight.

23-year-old Francisco Lambert-Cordero was found shot to death in a desert area outside of Las Vegas.

Police are investigating the beating death of 58-year-old James Lamberth. He died at Sunrise Hospital.

46-year-old Bradley Wayne Cuny died at Sunrise Hospital as a result of blunt force trauma to the head. Cuny was involved in a fight before he died.
