Metro Police have arrested a man accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death.

Officers say 45-year-old Robin Jenkins was killed by 45-year-old David Frostick at a home near Desert Inn and Fort Apache.

Police say Jenkins was stabbed to death.

May 10, 2009 — Summerlin Hospital

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

One-year-old Joel Alcantar died at Summerlin Hospital on May 10, 2009. Police say Alcantar died from blunt force trauma to the abdomen.

No other details have been released.

December 25, 2008 – 9700 Block of Running Rabbit

Monday, January 5th, 2009

On the morning of December 25, 2008, Metro Officers responded to a shooting in the 9700 block of Running Rabbit. When they arrived, officers found 50-year-old John McCallum suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

He was transported to UMC Trauma, where he died several hours later.

Arriving officers were also able to catch a suspect in the shooting. 24-year-old Edward Jones was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he was booked for murder with a deadly weapon.

Police say the shooting may have been prompted by a neighborhood traffic dispute.

August 31, 2008 – 8300 Block of Spring Arts Street

In the early morning hours of August 31, Metro Officers responded a shooting in the 8300 block of Spring Arts Street.

When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Nester Lee in the front of the house suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Lee was transported to Mountain View Hospital where he died a short time later.

Several minutes after officers arrived, Metro Dispatch was told that several people had entered the Albertson’s on Cheyenne and Cimarron saying they had been shot.

Five people were transported to UMC Trauma for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Homicide Detectives were called to the scene of the shooting. They found that there was a party at the house on Spring Arts and a fight ensued after an argument. Detectives identified and arrested Eric Sandoval as a suspect in this shooting.

August 20, 2008 – 3100 Block of Serrano Court

On the night of August 20, Metro Police responded to disconnected 911 call in the 3100 block of Serrano Court. When officers arrived, they heard yelling and screaming coming from the home.

Officers knocked on the door and 76-year-old Charles Petrovic answered with blood on his clothing.

Officers then entered the home and found 70-year-old Loretta Naumann with several stab wounds. Officers then detained Petrovic. Naumann was transported to UMC Trauma where she died a short time later.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate. They found that Petrovic and Naumann lived in the home together and had been together for many years. They got into a fight and officers believe Petrovic stabbed Naumann.

Petrovic was arrested for murder with a deadly weapon and booked in to the Clark County Detention Center.

July 28, 2008 – Near Kyle Canyon Road

runaway_teen_nichole_180.jpgOn July 28, Metro Homicide Detectives got a tip that 17-year-old Nichole Yegge had been murdered.

Detectives opened an investigation that led them to an apartment on Koval Lane where Yegge had been living. Detectives identified her and found that she had been reported as a runaway and had not been seen for several days.

After investigating further, detectives were lead to a remote desert area south of the Snow Mountain Paiute Indian Reservation, where the body of Yegge was discovered in a shallow grave.

Detectives arrested two people, 21-year-old Anne Osburn and 31-year-old Gabriel Yates, for the kidnapping and murder of the 17-year-old.

They were been booked for and are being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center.

July 16, 2008 – 6600 Block of Sky Pointe Drive

On the morning of July 16, Metro Officers responded to the Guru Xpress Mini Mart to investigate a report that an employee had been shot. Arriving officers found 29-year-old Narinder Singh shot multiple times in the store’s office.

The investigation has determined the suspect is a former employee named Vicente Alvinez. Alvinez had been fired from the store the night before.

Alvinez fled the scene in a white 1987 Mazda RX7, with NV license plates 220-VJV.

Police are still investigating.

May 12, 2008 – 1900 Block of Madagascar

Police are investigating the death of 61-year-old Maria Graziose. Police say she was shot multiple times in the chest. No other information has been released.

May 28, 2008 – Lee Canyon Road

Friday, May 30th, 2008

On May 28, 2008, 52-year-old Maria Elaina Marino’s body was found in a ravine just off the road leading to Lee Canyon.

The Clark County Coroner says she was strangled to death.

Police don’t have any suspects and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.

May 17, 2008 – 6200 Block of Chinook Way

Monday, May 19th, 2008

On the afternoon of May 17, Metro dispatch got several calls from a house saying a man had a handgun and was threatening to kill the caller. Officers arrived and found several people standing around the house.

One of the individuals told officers the man with the gun was inside of the garage of the residence. Officers then heard a gunshot, and broadcast on the radio that a shot had been fired. They then observed a man, later identified as 31-year-old Christopher Tuttle, with a gun through the open garage.

Why list officer involved shootings?

Officers repeatedly told the Tuttle to drop his gun and surrender, but he refused. Police say he then pointed the gun directly at the officers. Two officers fired at Tuttle, hitting him. He was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where he later died.

The two officers have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a coroner’s inquest.
