On the afternoon of April 14, 2009, a female called 911 saying she had returned home and found her husband dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Metro Police Officers were sent to the scene and found 27-year-old Aaron White dead.

Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and began conducting an investigation. Detectives were able to get a suspect description of an African American male, tall and thin, leaving the home in the victim’s 1987 Chevrolet Caprice. The victim vehicle had paper plates and was last seen leaving southbound on lamb towards Charleston.

On the morning of March 30, 2009, Metro Officers were asked to check on 66-year-old Billie June Saterfield. Officers entered Saterfield’s house and found her dead inside.

Homicide detectives were called and began their investigation. At first, detectives were not sure if Ms. Saterfield death was a homicide, but it was later determined that she was stabbed to death.

In the early morning hours of March 18, 2009, police responded to shots fired near D Street and Alexander. Officers found 32-year-old Landtreon Taylor laying on a sidewalk dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators have no suspect or vehicle descriptions at this time.

Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating the death of 21-year-old Armando Castro.

Castro died from blunt force trauma to the head. No other details have been released.

Police are investigating the murder of 44-year-old Teresa McCoy. McCoy was found strangled to death in a room at the Traveler’s Inn on Fremont Street.

No other details have been released.

On the morning of February 14, 2009, Metro Officers stopped 35-year-old Edmundo Del Valle for jaywalking across Fremont Street near Maryland Parkway. Police say Del Valle pulled out a large pistol and refused to follow the officers’ orders to drop the weapon.

Del Valle remained on the sidewalk in front of businesses Fremont Street brandishing his weapon. Officers continued to issue orders for Del Valle to drop his weapon, but he did not comply.

An officer trained in crisis intervention spoke with Del Valle in an attempt to negotiate his surrender. Several minutes later, Del Valle allegedly pointed his weapon at officers. Officers fired at Del Valle, incapacitating him.

Officers began to render aid and called for EMT’s. Del Valle was transported to UMC where doctors performed emergency lifesaving procedures, but Del Valle died from his injuries.

On the night of January 4, 2009, Metro Police Officers were called to the Lamplighter Motel on east Fremont after getting reports that a man had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found 31-year-old Francisco Uribe-Valdivia dead inside the apartment from multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspects are described as one white man and two white females.

On the morning of December 30, 2008, Metro responded to the Siegel Suites after getting a report of a stabbing inside an apartment.

Officers arrived and found 59-year-old Daniel Boykins dead inside. Detectives determined that the stabbing happened during an alleged domestic dispute.

48-year-old Beverly Boykins was arrested for murder with a deadly weapon and booked into the Clark County Detention Center where she is being held without bail.

On the morning of November 23, 2008, Metro officers responded to a call that a female had been discovered dead in an apartment. When officers arrived, they found 25-year-old Erika Mateos-Hernandez deceased in a bedroom in the rear of the apartment.

Police say they have no suspects and are looking for witnesses.

Police are investigating the murder of 53-year-old Gregory Stuart. Stuart was found dead in an alley near 6th Street and Fremont. His death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
