On the night of April 24, 2009, police were called to a domestic violence incident in the southeast part of Las Vegas. When officers arrived at the home, they found 38-year-old Patricia McCreery in the master bedroom suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest and stomach. McCreery was transported to Sunrise Trauma Center where she later died.

Police say McCreery and her boyfriend,  45-year-old Clayton Wrencher, were separating after being together for 16 years. The couple became involved in an argument and Wrencher stabbed McCreery several times before fleeing the home.

Around midnight on April 18, 2009, North Las Vegas Police Department got a call of shots fired in the 3900 block of Yellow Mandarin Court.

When Officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Darryl Pickens dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. They also found 33-year-old Levin Wright in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds. Wright was transported to UMC Trauma where he later died.

No other information has been released.

On the morning of April 16, 2009, Metro Officers responded to a shots fired call near Rainbow and Sahara. When they arrived, officers encountered 48-year-old Tracy Petkovich standing in the doorway of the home holding a gun.

Officers were able to take Petkovich into custody without incident and then entered the home where they found 54-year-old Douglas Teed dead from gunshot wounds.

After an investigation, Homicide Detectives arrested Petkovich for murder with use of a deadly weapon. Petkovich was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and booked.

On the afternoon of April 14, 2009, a female called 911 saying she had returned home and found her husband dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Metro Police Officers were sent to the scene and found 27-year-old Aaron White dead.

Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and began conducting an investigation. Detectives were able to get a suspect description of an African American male, tall and thin, leaving the home in the victim’s 1987 Chevrolet Caprice. The victim vehicle had paper plates and was last seen leaving southbound on lamb towards Charleston.

On the early morning of April 12, 2009, Metro Officer responded to a shots fired call on Magnolia Avenue. When officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Francisco Morales lying in a driveway dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

On the night of April 8nd, 2009, Metro Officers were called to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian in the 3900 block of E. Cheyenne. Police say 22-year-old Juan Mejia-Hernandez had been intentionally ran over after a road rage incident. Mejia-Hernandez was transported to the UMC Trauma Center for treatment. On April 10, 2009, Mejia-Hernandez died from his injuries.

Detectives say the suspect is an African-American man in his mid-thirties with short black hair, driving a gray Ford Focus or a similar compact car. The vehicle may have some damage to the front end or to the front drivers side.

Police are investigating the shooting death of 18-year-old Jose Jimenez. Officers were called to the area of Craig and Puebla on the night of April 6, 2009, after getting calls of a shots fired and a man down in the area. When they arrived, they found Jimenez with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other information has been released.

On the night of April 2 , 2009, Metro Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the northeast area of Las Vegas. When officers arrived, they found 16-year-old Luis Bernabe laying on a sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. Bernabe was transported to UMC where he later died.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene to interview witnesses. Investigators say they have no suspects.

On the morning of April 2, 2009, North Las Vegas Police Detectives responded to a homicide at the North Las Vegas Detention Center.

Police say during a routine cell count, corrections officers discovered that 31-year-old Sergio Morales-Paredes was missing. Officers began looking for Morales-Paredes and found him under a mattress in his cell bleeding from the face and not breathing. Officers called for medical attention, but Morales-Paredes had already died.

Detectives booked 25-year-old Armando Munoz-Ornelas for one count of murder. Munoz-Ornelas was sharing a cell with Morales-Paredes at the time of the incident.

On the morning of March 30, 2009, Metro Officers were asked to check on 66-year-old Billie June Saterfield. Officers entered Saterfield’s house and found her dead inside.

Homicide detectives were called and began their investigation. At first, detectives were not sure if Ms. Saterfield death was a homicide, but it was later determined that she was stabbed to death.
