January 30, 2009 — 2400 South Jones
On the evening of January 30, 2009, Metro Police Dispatch got a 911 call from the owner of the Sahara Pawn Shop. The owner said he had shot a man who he believed was about to rob him.
When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Thomas Cola suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and began conducting an investigation. Detectives placed the owner of the store under arrest and transported him to CCDC where he was booked for murder with a deadly weapon.

This is a no-brainer……. You cannot shoot somebody in the back for strong armed roberry. I’m a victim of several armed roberies & feel his pain, but if you are not in direct fear for your life the danger dosnt require to open fire. Too bad he has to pay for his shoot from the hip action.
