Metro Police Detectives are investigating the murder of 16-year-old Clemente Carlos Garcia-Benitez.

Officers say he was shot in the back of the head and dumped in a wash near Washington and Lamb.

Police have no suspects.

In the early morning hours of July 26, Metro Police received several 911 calls reporting a woman stabbed at F Street and Washington. Callers also reported a man down at D Street and Washington.

Patrol officers arrived and found a 30-year-old female with a stab wound to the leg and 26-year-old Eduardo Velasquez dead from a stab wound to the chest. The woman was transported to UMC Trauma with non-life threatening injuries to the leg.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and determined both had been stabbed by the female’s ex-boyfriend, 47-year-old Ignacio “Ceasar” Mirando. Detectives located Mirando in a house on Vernon Ave. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for one count of murder with a deadly weapon and one count of attempt murder with a deadly weapon.

The female was treated at the hospital and released.

On July 24, Metro Homicide Detectives responded to a homicide in Mesquite, Nevada.

Police say 28-year-old Simon Ledezma was was found dead near I-15 and the Byron exit with obvious signs of trauma to the head.

No other details have been made available.
