On the morning of July 18, police got a 911 call from a woman saying a man had shot her boyfriend inside their home. Metro Officers responded to the scene and found 18-year-old David Manriquez dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

Homicide Detectives were called and were able to identify the suspect in the murder as 17-year-old Jonathan Romero. Police believe Manriquez is the new boyfriend of Romero’s ex-girlfriend.

Police say Romero is to be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to contact either the Homicide Section at (702) 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
