On the night of June 23, the Metro Dispatch Center received a call from person reporting that a man had been stabbed. The caller was in a car and requested directions to the nearest hospital. Dispatchers directed the caller to Sunrise Hospital.

Minutes later, the person arrived at Sunrise with 27-year-old Adan Moreno. He had been repeatedly stabbed. Moreno succumbed to his injuries and died.

The investigation found the victim and a female friend were visiting in the 100 block of West Chicago when they were accosted by two men. The men allegedly attacked them and repeatedly stabbed Moreno. The female friend was then able to transport Moreno to Sunrise Hospital.

The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Sergio Ramirez and 26-year-old Paul Morgan, both are Las Vegas residents. Detectives identified the two suspects and arrested them without incident in the area of East Sahara and Van Patten Street.

Both were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on the charges of Murder with a Deadly Weapon, Kidnap 1st Degree with a Deadly Weapon and Robbery with a Deadly Weapon and are currently being held without bail.
