On the night of April 10, the Clark County Fire Department contacted the Metro Police Communications Center and reported that they had been called to a fire in a construction site near the intersection of Pebble and Riley in southwest Las Vegas.
Firefighters located the fire and discovered that a deceased human body was on fire.
Officers were dispatched and determined that the body was that of an African-American female, later identified as 37-year-old Sabrina King. Police say she had severe head injuries.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene. An abandoned vehicle was located near the crime scene. The vehicle was registered to King, who was reported missing by family members. King’s family also said that her ex-husband, 29-year-old Andre James King, recently had harsh dealings with her.
Andre King was arrested on April 11, 2008 for Murder and Home Invasion and booked into the Clark County Detention Center, where he is being held without bail.
