On April 4, 2008 Metro dispatch got a 911 call reporting a person shot at the 7 Seas Lounge on west Lake Mead Boulevard. When patrol officers arrived, they discovered a male, later identified as 26-years-old Alphonso Jameen Green, outside the south entrance of the business suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Green was transported to UMC Trauma, where he later died.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene. Their investigation revealed the victim was seen arguing with other patrons and was leaving the business when gunshots were fired.
The suspect was initially described as wearing a green and white shirt, however the investigation revealed the suspect was a black male adult, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5′8″ to 6′ tall, about 180 pounds, either bald or having very short black hair, wearing a bark blue jacket, a red and white shirt, dark colored jeans and armed with a small handgun.
He was last seen running west from the business.
Anyone with information on the shooting should contact the LVMPD Homicide Section at 828-3521 or call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
