homicide_rabinowitsch.jpgOn June 25, 1981, Jack and Xenia Rabinowitsch were discovered dead inside their home. Both victims were found face down on the bed with their hands behind their backs.

They had been shot and the investigation characterized the deaths as an execution.

Police found several opened safes throughout the house, but money, jewelry and rare coins were still inside. There were also other items of great value appeared to have gone untouched.

One drawer from one of the safes was missing. Relatives indicated that the drawer contained some paperwork.

The Rabinowitschs were known for their anti-communist stance and for offering assistance to immigrants coming from the former Soviet Union.

Las Vegas detectives worked with agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation because of possible connections to other related investigations in other States.
