homicide_oquist.jpgOn February 6, 1998, Cynthia Oquist’s body was found by a homeless person in a desert area southeast of Vegas Valley and the Las Vegas Wash. The homeless man went to a nearby store where he found a Metro Officer and reported his discovery.

Investigators arrived and began their investigation. Police say Cynthia had been left in the area for three to five days.

Investigators learned that Cynthia was last seen in the downtown Las Vegas area working as a prostitute.

A suspect composite was provided by another prostitute who was the victim of an attempt murder. Investigators believe the suspect may be responsible for the murder of Cynthia.
