February 17, 2008 – 8700 block of Isola Drive
Allainna McClain was found dead on Sunday, February 17, 2008. She was 24-years-old. Metro Police say they got a 911 call reporting a deceased woman in the garage of a residence in the 8700 block of Isola Drive.
Patrol officers and paramedics arrived and determined the woman was deceased.
The Clark County Coroner has ruled her death as a homicide as a result of strangulation. According to police, McClain’s body was found inside a car by her mother-in-law.
McClain was a mother of two young children.

An Arrest Warrant was later issued for 29- year-old Clifford McClain for the Murder of Allainna McClain. Clifford McClain was Allainna’s ex-husband.
On March 27, 2008, Clifford McClain appeared in Justice Court, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. McClain was later released from CCDC on bond.

Allainna was one of the most amazing people we have ever met. She was a beautiful person inside and out and not to mention an outstanding mother who was strong willed and always determined in the goals she set for herself. She was one of my husband and I’s best friends. She was a part of our family….She will be greatly missed!!! The memories we all have must never be forgotten and must always be forever cherished….Our prayers go out to her family and loved ones. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

I have known Allainna and her family for a very long time. They are all Christians and are loving,caring people. They are a close-knitted family with a lot of friends who are ready to assist in any way.
I want to know where was Child Protective Services and the Las Vegas Police when she needed help. Why was she required to pick up her kids in a hostile environment? What is being done to investigate this homidical felony? Has an arrest been made or when will it be made? Who has been charged for this crime? No one can say she strangled herself. Some one or ones need to be held accountable. Folks in Spokane are watching and willing to stand by the Langford/Cartwright family.
Is any one out there concerned about justice? What is best for the kids!!
Any ideas on how we can let the world know how the systems in Las Vegas failed her and her children??

I was Allainna’s friend and neighbor. Your so Right Dorothy the system failed her terribly!!!! The whole time they were going through the whole CPS system. She kept telling them that it was a hostile situation. She even had the pictures of the domestic violence that she endured in years past. She told me time and time again that this would happen. She spent many days and nights at my home with me in tears because her children had been taken away!! and afraid of this happening. Well it did and who was there to protect her and her children???
Brandy that is a very beautiful thing you wrote!! and I know you will miss her very much and I will as well!! Allainna was a very beautifull person inside and out!! She was a great mother and adored her children. She was very motivated in her nursing school as she wanted the best life she could give to her chilren that was possible.
And no the house she was found in was not family!!!! They were both Ex’s!!! And she had no choice but to share those kids with hostile people!!! Well now the system can see the results of that.
Sharon if there is anything at all I can do to help please call me my numbers are in Allainna’s phones!!! I will be happy to do what ever it takes. She spent many days and nights at my house I was there for her during that time and I will be there for her and you and the rest of her family now!!!
Allainna came from a very very loving, Christian family life and it radiated from her all of the time. I had the pleasure of meeting her family and they are very beautiful, loving, caring people who did not deserve this!! And most of her two babies that are the most beautiful children and I love so and adored!!!
The person who did this needs to finally face the consequences of their actions!!! And I pray that that will happen very very soon!!!

Thank you for the love support and prayers in what has been the most difficult period for my family. Allainna was an amazing young woman, dedicated student, and a loving, protective mother to two extraordinary children. I will miss my daughter, and our friendship, everyday for the rest of my life. Although I wish we had more time together, I know her spirit resides in a special place in heaven.

I am a cousin of Allaina which knew her when she was younger. My heart goes out to the Langford family and deepest prayers. Justice will be found even though that will never replace the loved one lost. dear Langford family,
i didn’t know allainna very well, but for the short time that i did get to know her, in school, i found that she is a very caring, funny, smart, family orientated person. the world is definitely a better place for her having been hear, and her death is a loss to a great many people. i am sorry that i have only now written to you and yours, but i only found out about this today. i can only hope that god will exact the true justice that is required on all who had any dealing with this horrible act. please do one thing if nothing else, raise her two beautiful children with the same wonderful upbringing that you raised allainna with. you and your family have all of my well wishes and prayers from now till forever. i will always remember allainna and celebrate her life and what she brought to mine.

I don’t know who you are and you don’t know me. I don’t need to look within myself, I’ve done nothing wrong. And as my love for Allainna, it did not kill her, so what are you talking about?
Mr. Jackson, I’ve waited almost two months before blogging, until I could stand no longer the gross misrepresentation of facts and slander of my mother. This is not a back and forth between families. Allainna’s family has not blogged any of the things I have a problem with. It is the people that are pretending to have known Allainna and personal details of our family’s lives that don’t.
And as I have e-mailed Melissa Duran regarding her story, you as a journalist should also know, one the first and foremost rules of journalism is to check your facts before reporting them.

Allainna was a very important person to everyone on here, whether they knew her for 10 minutes or ten years whatever ANYONE took from meeting this wonderful, beautiful women is not to be at the judgment of someone else!

Marquita, I know what you’re about and your lifestyle, so save it.
I think the best thing to do is close this site down, because as long as it lets lying hypocrites, such as the latest bloggers have a forum for their bull, I will continue to expose them, which knowing what I do about their background(are you listening Brandy and Marquita).
You need to get your lives an lifestyles together before commenting on anything or anyone.

It appears to me that the real reason for this blog has been lost. This blog is for Allainna. It is not to clear up any “misrepresentations” or “slander”. If anything, I think that that is disrespectful to Allainna, and this blog should be soley reserved as a continuance of her memory and the joy she brought into people’s lives. I did not know her or anyone associated with this situation at all, so I will not speak on her as a person. However, I think that respect is a very important virtue to possess and that it should be upheld on this blog. My comment is not to disrespect anyone, any facts, opinions, or anything. I simply would like to bring this blog back to its original intention, and that is to celebrate her legacy. So, let’s respect that. If anyone does not like what is being said, just don’t come to read it. As I previously stated, this blog is for Allainna and not for anyone else to make it about themselves or anything other than this young woman. As for the people that Tiffany’s comments are directed to, just remember..

Also, about your comment about school drop-off, the two of you may have done this a couple of times, but you missed school a lot. Like I said, I worded across the street from the school, and being that Stoney and I lived at my mother’s house, I dropped him off most of the time. And you will also remember, the reason you stopped superving her visits with the kids, is because your boyfriend got mad that you were making him watch all of your kids, even the ones that were not his, to go watch someone elsse’s kids and he was mad you were all up in other people’s business instead of handling your own. Oh, you forgot to blog that, did you?

I am only responding to correct or shoot down lies made by certain parties. If you are not one of those parties, and know nothing of the facts being spoken upon, then leave it alone and write about what you want. It’s not that I want the site shut down. I want to apologize to everyone here for what has been going on, also please know that will be my last response on anything said towards or about myself you are all right this is a site for allainna, but please understand that I have seen alot that allainna went through these past years as her freind it bothers me when people are never held acountable for their actions and that is alot of what allainna had to deal with, I am sorry though I love allainna and I miss her alot, I let my emotions get the best of me and it wont happen again! We moderate comments so sometimes it takes a while for them to show up (especially on weekends.) However, I have deleted two or three of your comments where it appeared that you were posting under separate names using the same computer.
Double posting is against our terms of service and our comments policy.
I would like to once again say that this is a privately owned website and commenting is a privilege. I do not like the way the conversation has devolved and am very close to closing comments on this post.
If you want to fight with each other over the internet, post your email addresses and have at it — in private.
Back to the topic at hand. Someone asked the status of the court case. I’ve got calls into the court clerk for the room Mr. McClain’s prelim was assigned. We’ll know the results late Monday. Most likely, the judge found enough evidence to bind the case over to District Court where Mr. McClain will then begin the process of heading to trial. That said, a quick search shows that Mr. McClain is still out on bail.

I wish not to upset anyone on here for this is to show respect but i just wanted to say i am praying for her family and her children and she is in heaven looking down and watching over them. this is what happens when people slip though the cracks of the system. Her name and familymembers and the children are on prayer group all over the country now i made sure of this may peace be with you.

There is really no need to do all of that on here anyway!! MR JACKSON, THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF INFERENCES THAT THE POLICE ,COURTS,CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES……..HAD FAILED TO PROTECT THIS YOUNG MOTHER…..WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT AND WHAT SHOULD BE DONE DIFFERENT IF ANY ONE HAPPENS TO GO THRU WHAT ALAINNA WENT THRU ?????????

Clifford McClain was bound over to District Court. He was not taken back into custody.
His next hearing will be in District Court 12 on April 22 @ 10:30 a.m.
