Holly Madison visited downtown Las Vegas’ First Friday event this weekend. She met up with Mayor Oscar Goodman . The Mayor and Holly toured some of the great art galleries downtown around Colorado, California and Main Street.
Holly hung out with ‘The Worlds Happiest Mayor’ before she took in some shopping and checked out the arts and crafts booths. Madison picked up a Tambourine and some pins. She also enjoyed a Giant hot Dog smothered with Cheese! Holly also stopped by Fat Daddy’s Ice Cream truck for a Orange creamcicle pop. She stopped to pose for pictures with fans.

First Friday happens the First Friday of every month downtown in the Arts District at Charleston and Main Streets and at Colorado and California Streets. There is live music, open art galleries, food vendors, Arts and Crafts and street performers. It’s free to the public to attend.

Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks 2009 was held at the Wynn Hotel and Casino this weekend.
The event raises critical funds to support the Tony Hawk Foundation’s mission to bring high-quality, free public skateparks to youth in low-income communities across the United States. Tennis star, Andre Agassi, attended the event. Peepshow’s Aubrey O’Day and Holly Madison were also there, along with Erik Estrada.

Holly Madison hosted “HollyWeen” at Studio 54 nightclub at MGM Grand, donning a gorgeous Queen of Hearts costume. She walked the red carpet and told reporters that she chose her outfit in hopes of having a Vegas-inspired ensemble.

Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene of Twilight celebrated at TAO in the Venetian. They are used to being dressed as Vampires for the new movie, “New Moon,” which comes out on November 20th, but for Halloween they dressed up a little different.
Sam Trammell and Rutina Wesley (who is a Las Vegas native) from True Blood partied at LAVO. The four actors posed together for a group shot!

Mr. Las Vegas debuted his new show at the Tropicana this week. Wayne Newton’s show is called, “Once Before I Go.” In the show, Newton sings along with Sammy Davis Jr., who is on the screens behind him. He also brought, Dancing With The Stars dancer, Cheryl Burke out on stage with him.
Celebrities walked the red carpet before taking in the show. Drew Carey, Holly Madison, Carrot Top, Vanna White, and many more!

Michael Jackson was honored on his 51st birthday (8/29) with a tribute concert at the Pearl at the Palms. The event included peformers from up and down the Las Vegas Strip and was organized by columnist Steve Friess & Jersey Boys peformer, Erich Bergen. It raised more than 100 thousand dollars for the Clark County Public Schools Music Program.
Later that night, Michael Jackson was honored by Brenden Theaters with a special star. Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, was there to accept the honor. He said he wished his son was there to see it.

The Human Rights Campaign Las Vegas Gala was held Saturday night at the Paris Hotel & Casino. Celebrities came out to support Human Rights. Including: Harry Reid, U.S. Senate Majority Leader, Holly Madison, Josh Strickland of PEEPSHOW, Penn & Teller, Alec Map (cast member of Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives), Anthony Cools, Bobby Slayton, Le Reve cast members, and Jubilee! Showgirls.
HRC Las Vegas raised more than $175,000 Saturday night. Money from the event will help support Nevada’s HRC Field Consultant, a new HRC position for the state. Some areas of focus for this new position include: Advancing local, state and federal ordinances/legislation, work with coalition partners on a range of topics including trans education, and plan for the 2010 election cycle (Reid, Titus, Berkeley, Governor, state leg, etc).
