Hollywood Mourns Deaths of 2 Funny People
Tuesday, June 24th, 2008It has been a rough week for the entertainment community with the loss of both George Carlin and Dody Goodman.
Carlin, who passed away Sunday night at 71, was known as a pioneer in comedy, especially for his “Seven Words You Can Never Say on TV” routine. In addition to his comedy, he was also an actor, having performed in movies like “The Prince of Tides” with Barbra Streisand.
Goodman, who was 93, was known for roles on TV in ”Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” and on film, like the lovable assistant to the principal in, “Grease,” with John Travolta and Olivia Newton John and its sequel — and in the stage version.
