Giuliana Rancic & Rumer Willis Celebrate Birthdays in Las Veags

Rumer Willis is all grown up! The daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore turned 21 years old this weekend. She celebrated at Tao Bistro and Nightclub on Saturday night. She celebrated with her “Sorority Row” castmates, boyfriend Micah Alberti, and parents Bruce & Demi.

E! News Host Giuliana Rancic celebrated her birthday at Tabú Ultra Lounge in MGM Grand. The anchor and reality show star arrived with husband Bill Rancic, former Apprentice winner, in tow along with 30 of their closest friends. Giuliana stopped traffic on the casino floor as she stunned the crowd in a form fitting black and white dress complemented with gold accessories. Admirers gathered around the Las Vegas hotspot to get a glimpse of the her on the red carpet.

Inside Tabú, Giuliana let loose on her special day and celebrated in true Vegas fashion. She was even spotted dancing on top of the tables while her bashful husband opted to lay low and remain off the tables. The power couple stole the show as their secret to a happy marriage was evident to everyone around them. The two were seen laughing and having a great time with each other all throughout the night. Later in the evening, with her large entourage surrounding her, Giuliana was presented with an appetizing three layer cake as everyone wished her a “Happy Birthday.”

Ferrell & Piven Attend Premiere of “The Goods” at Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino hosted the red carpet premiere of “The Goods, Live Hard, Sell Hard,” on Wednesday.   The movie stars Will Ferrell and Jeremy Piven.  The two actors attended the premiere along with many other celebrities… including Kid Rock & Holly Madison.

Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles.  The “Pop Icon” has had many connections to Las Vegas.  We have a picture of him taken last summer at Planet Hollywood Restaurant at Caesars Palace.  The picture was taken on August 27, 2008 by Denise Truscello from Wireimage.  

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino also remembered Jackson Thursday night.  The Resort’s marquee memorialized Jackson’s life.

Famous Celebrity Blogger, Perez Hilton, celebrated his 31st birthday at PURE Nightclub inside Caesar’s Palace on Friday night.   Hilton enjoyed a posh birthday bash complete with a specially made blue cake and a sexy rendition of “Happy Birthday” by the Las Vegas Pussycat Dolls.

Paris Hilton arrived in Las Vegas this weekend (March 6, 2009) to celebrate her 28th birthday.  She turned 28 in February, but March 7th she celebrated it at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Body English Nightclub.   She came with boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, and 15 of her friends.  They dined at Nobu on Saturday night before making their way to her party.  Paris posed on the pink carpet as fans yelled, “Happy Birthday!” 

Inside Body English, she was presented a cake and her friends sang Happy Birthday to her.  She stayed close to Reinhardt the entire night.

Hollywood Hit Hard by 3 Deaths Over Weekend

It was a tough weekend for Hollywood. Manager/producer Bernie Brillstein died on Thursday at 77, actor/comedian Bernie Mac died on Saturday at age 50 and on Sunday, songwriter/musican Isaac Hayes died at 65.

Brillstein was famous for discovering talent like Jim Henson, John Belushi and Gilda Radner, being instrumental  in “Saturday Night Live.” Mac was known for his own show, “The Bernie Mac Show” and for doing the remake of “Ocean’s Eleven” and its sequels. Hayes won both the Academy and Grammy awards for his “Theme From Shaft” but might be better known to kids these days at the school cook on “South Park.”

Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Vegas Police: Jerry Lewis Cited For Gun in Luggage

lewis_jerry_180.jpg Police say they have confiscated a gun belonging to Jerry Lewis that was found in the 82-year-old entertainer’s carryon bag as he prepared to fly to Detroit from Las Vegas.

Las Vegas police officer Bill Cassell said Tuesday that the actor was cited Friday for carrying an unloaded concealed weapon at the Las Vegas airport. (more…)

Hollywood Mourns Passing of “Golden Girl”

getty_estelle_180.jpg Hollywood is mourning the death of Golden Girl, Estelle Getty. Getty died Tuesday morning at her home in Hollywood. She had been out of the public spotlight for several years, suffering from advanced dimentia.

Estelle Getty had a long career but was most recently known for playing the sarcastic octogenarian, Sophia, on the hit TV show, “The Golden Girls.” She won two Emmy awards in that role. In truth, she was actually the youngest of the cast members on the show. Estelle Getty was 84.

Heidi Fleiss’ Lab Tests Come Back on Feb. Arrest

fleiss_180.jpg The woman known as the Hollywood Madame faces more charges after being pulled over for driving under the influence in Pahrump. Heidi Fleiss was arrested in February. At the time she was charged with driving under the influence and possession of prescription medicine without a prescription. Now, that her lab tests are in, she was apparently also using meth. Fleiss is now also charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Bozo The Clown Actor Passes Away

Bozo The Clown, courtesy of AP The man who turned the character Bozo The Clown into a show business staple has passed away. Larry Harmon was not the original Bozo, but he portrayed the popular clown in countless appearances and licensed the character to others — making Bozo The Clown a household name — one that has circulated for over 50 years. Larry Harmon was 83.

Las Vegas Casino Suing ‘Girls Gone Wild’ Founder

According to the AP, “Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis is being sued by a Las Vegas Strip casino seeking repayment for $2 million in gambling debts. Wynn Las Vegas spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne says the casino wouldn’t have sued Francis unless all other options were exhausted. (more…)

Hollywood Mourns Deaths of 2 Funny People

It has been a rough week for the entertainment community with the loss of both George Carlin and Dody Goodman.

Carlin, who passed away Sunday night at 71, was known as a pioneer in comedy, especially for his “Seven Words You Can Never Say on TV” routine. In addition to his comedy, he was also an actor, having performed in movies like “The Prince of Tides” with Barbra Streisand.

Goodman, who was 93, was known for roles on TV in ”Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” and on film, like the lovable assistant to the principal in, “Grease,” with John Travolta and Olivia Newton John and its sequel — and in the stage version.
