Chris Noth of “Sex and the City,” posed with IGT’s new slot machine bearing the successful television series’ name. Noth is known as “Mr. Big” on the show. He also appears in the CBS show, “The Good Wife.”

The Global Gaming Expo, called G2E, is an international event for the gaming entertainment industry. It runs November 17th to the 19th in Las Vegas and features 520 exhibitors, including 92 from 26 countries.

G2E 2009 is expected to attract 25,000 attendees, and has been held in Las Vegas since its inception in 2001.

Check this out! Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell on the set of their new movie The Other Guys. They were at the he Flamingo Las Vegas on he strip this weekend. Crowds gathered outside of The Flamingo and Margaritaville to watch the filming and traffic slowed as fans got a glimpse of the stars on the set.

Wahlberg and Ferrell looked right at home with Ferrell in a ‘Vegas Baby Vegas’ t-shirt and Wahlberg with a tall Margaritaville “yard” drink in his hand.

The Other Guys is directed by Adam McKay. His other films include: Talladega Nights, Step Brothers and Anchorman. Other actors in the movie include: Dwayne Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes, Anne Heche, Michael Keeton, Steve Coogan, & Paris Hilton.

“This Is It” premiered at Brenden Theater at the Palms Wednesday night.  The film is a documentary about Michael Jackson’s upcoming tour London tour that never happened.  Jackson died a short time before it was suppose to begin. 

Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, was on hand to watch the film. He was also there for the dedication of a star to the Jackson family.  CEO, Johnny Brenden presented it to him.   Don King, Todd Bridges and Rashida Ali were also there for the screening.

This weekend the Mirage Hotel & Casino celebrated 20 years on the Las Vegas Strip.  Several events were held throughout the weekend, including a concert with “Slash & Friends.”

Jim Carrey & Jenny McCarthy recently celebrated their four-year anniversary together in a Sky Villa inside the Fantasy Tower at the Palms Casino Resort. Onlookers said the two looked very much in love and they played Texas Hold em till the wee hours in the morning.

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino hosted the red carpet premiere of “The Goods, Live Hard, Sell Hard,” on Wednesday.   The movie stars Will Ferrell and Jeremy Piven.  The two actors attended the premiere along with many other celebrities… including Kid Rock & Holly Madison.

“Saint John of Las Vegas” had its World Premiere at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Wendesday.  The premiere kicked of the CineVgas 2009 film festival.  Sarah Silverman stars in the film, she was there, along with CineVegas support Dennis Hopper.

It was a tough weekend for Hollywood. Manager/producer Bernie Brillstein died on Thursday at 77, actor/comedian Bernie Mac died on Saturday at age 50 and on Sunday, songwriter/musican Isaac Hayes died at 65.

Brillstein was famous for discovering talent like Jim Henson, John Belushi and Gilda Radner, being instrumental  in “Saturday Night Live.” Mac was known for his own show, “The Bernie Mac Show” and for doing the remake of “Ocean’s Eleven” and its sequels. Hayes won both the Academy and Grammy awards for his “Theme From Shaft” but might be better known to kids these days at the school cook on “South Park.”

Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. You can watch it here.
