Cyd Charisse Dies in Los Angeles at 86

cyd_charisse_180.jpgAccording to the AP, a publicist for Cyd Charisse says the actress-dancer has died in Los Angeles at age 86.  Publicist Gene Schwam says Charisse died early Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack on Monday.

Charisse was a long-legged Texas beauty who danced with the Ballet Russe as a teenager and starred in MGM musicals with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. Charisse also appeared in dramatic films, but her fame rested of the Technicolor musicals of the 1940s and 1950s.

    ms.cyd charisse was a tremendous dancer,actor, and worldly woman who as you can see by the photo above brought’men to there knees’!!!!

    Cyd was a legend in the theater and the movies. She was a tremendous entertainer and an excellent dancer.
