Oprah Winfrey is bringing her show to Las Vegas for a special taping with Cher and Tina Turner. The taping will take place on Saturday, April 26 and the show is scheduled to air Thursday, May 8 on TV.

Hi there, I would love this one and a life time oppurtunity to attend and be apart of the Oprah show. I’m a hudge fan of the show but even more so of Ms.Oprah Winfrey,I just have so much love and respect for her as a woman and human being. I’d love to sit in the studio audiance on subject she discusses. The fact that her show is being tapen at the best casino on the Las Vegas strip along with the wonderfully talented CHER, and TINA TURNER TURNER. My mom has been watching you for a long time. My boyfriend helps take of her she is 91 yaers old. There are 2 shows she would love to be on and yours is #1. We have had some very trying times and I would love to see that smile on my mom’s face. The hours of the qualifications are tough due to taking care of her and getting ready to go to work. Is there any other way to try and access tickets?

I’m very interested in going to the OPRAH taping Show. It would literally be a dream come true. Last week I Dreamed that I was in one of her tapings as a guest. I don’t expect that to happen, but it would be an honor to to be in the same room with three most wonderful women ever. I’m almost 74 yrs. young, and have been a big fan of all three of these Ladies.

I would love to actually be a contributing part of the show. If there is anything she wants to know about the local population, how we are doing, any mental health angle, relationships in sin city, parenting in Vegas, etc.. I could comment or speak on the behalf of Vegas locals… Just a thought….otherwise, I will be watching to try to win tickets..

I had my laptop and tv ready at exactly 6 am. I also was at the site when the cue came on TV from the newscasters but unfortunately the link “Get Your Tickets Here” was NOT on the screen. I refreshed the page several times and nothing happened. I even went around the site to see if I could find an email address to contact the show to let them know what’s going on but unfortunately didn’t have much luck. The website was slooooooooooooooooow

I had my computer and TV ready at 6 am and trying unsuccessfully to click on a link on the Oprah ticket page immediately at the cue on the air. At the time there was no link which now appears on the site that says “get your tickets here”. There was just the Oprah Tickets box and I clicked on it but nothing happened. I refreshed the page several times and it was very slow to load up. After 10 minutes of trying I went to another page to see if I could contact the station to let them know what happened to me. Unfortunately their offices don’t open until 8 am and there was no email address available regarding this matter. I hope I have a better experience tomorrow morning!

I am so excited for an opportunity to see Oprah! My husband and I have each made a list of things we would like to do before we die and attending the Oprah taping is on my list! He just finished graduate school and this would be the perfect way to end our experience here in Vegas and celebrate! I hope that I can get my computer to cooperate! Sounds like a lot of people had problems… Seeing Oprah’s show would be a big dream for me!

Four generations of my family have had the pleasure of getting to know Oprah. It’s three a.m. and I’m afraid that I’ll miss the opportunity to get tickets by over-sleeping.. so I decided to go to this web site and check it out…I’m really glad I did! I’d love to win a ticket to give it to my daughter as she is Oprah’s biggest fan although my three grandchildren have grown up to know Oprah like part of the family. HA ! If I do happen to get a ticket I’m going to throw in a night of babysitting so that she can have a night on the town,she deserves it. I didn’t know about Cher and Tina until I got on this site…that makes a ticket harder to give up…but as I said she deserves it. I also wanted to thank you for giving us locals this opportunity. Your Oprah link is not active for several minutes after you announce “it’s time”. I’ve clicked on the Oprah button and refreshed the page (F5) every 5 seconds only to have the link not change to “Click here now” for about 2 minutes. Once I click on the many times refreshed page, it takes a minute to load the page and I’m on high speed internet. I’ve tried Monday and Tuesday but don’t expect Wednesday will be any better because your website is overloaded by the demand.

I am despirately trying to get Oprah tickets for my daughter and I. Yesterday a clicked on the Blue Oprah tickets icon but no entery ever appeared. Today from 6:00 a.m. (no matter how much I refreshed), I only got the following:
Sorry! No more tickets are available today. Please try again tomorrow morning. After the annoucement is made, return to this page. If at first, you don’t see the link right here, keep refreshing the page until you see the message “click here to get your tickets.” The website never responded to my refresh or reclicking…. HELP!
The above message stayed there the entire time (6:00 a.m…..before they made the announcement). HELP! I REALLY would LOVE to have 2 tickets for my daughter and I (hard year so far with the loss of my dear mother who also LOVED OPRAH and myself suffering a broken knee & finger and then being laid off from my job…..I could really use a break:)) Any advice on how I can get two tickets?

As a senior citizen (63)I think we are at a great disadvantage when trying to when Oprah tickets online.
This morning when I tried, it didn’t even pop up “click here for tickets” until several minutes AFTER you had announced we could try.
You should have set aside a few seats for seniors and had a different contest for them so we might have a chance. Even if we get through, it takes us longer to fill things out.

I had the same problem all the others had trying to Monday and today. Today I almost got there but then it was like I was cut off. Very disappointing. I hope next ime Oprah is here there will be a better way to get tickets. I am going to try again tomorrow; maybe I’ll have better luck.

I have been trying for two days now to get tickets. I am going to try again tomorrow. I almost got there today but as soon as I clicked on the Oprah symbol it was like I just got cut off. Very disappointing. Maybe next time she is in town there will be a better way to get tickets. I even called Caesars to see if they were selling tickets for the show but was told they were not. Again disappointed.

I had the same problem other people did. I got on the website OK but then after I clicked on the Oprah symbol it would just cut me off. I was very disappointed as I have been trying for 2 days now. I am not giving up though, I am going to try again tomorrow. Maybe I will have better luck. Next time she’s in town, there will be a better way to get tickets. I even tried calling Caesars to see if I could buy tickets.

I am in AWE that such a great show is about to be taped and wish so much that i could be there for it. I just want to say good luck to the ones that do get tickets but also want to comment to PLEASE ASK OPRAH TO COME BACK SOON. Give more people another chance to attend. What a great honor to be in this audience.
Since i will be having my garage sale on the 26th in Andrews Tx in order to make enough money to move to Las Vegas next week and take care of my parents, I’ll miss this event this time but look so forward to more exciting events to come. Look out Vegas, Here I come. Pat

Same issue as everyone else. I feel as though you should have had another way where everyone could have jad a equal chance of winning tickets. Everyone do not have computers (Seniors). I feel as though you just wanted viewers to watch the news to boost your ratings. So, for Wednesday’s last attempt, I will not bother. I will sleep in. I think I will have a better chance of going to Chicago in 2009.

I, too, am disappointed. I had everything ready to click on for tickets at 0600. When the announcement was made I clicked on your site and nothing ever happened. When site was refreshed, of course all the tickets were gone. I also have high-speed internet. This was a bad idea to obtain tickets this way. We know where the extra tickets will go–VIP’s of Las Vegas. The real fans do not have a chance!

I have tried every day to get tickets for the show. I set my alarm, cut the tv on and have even practice typing the information really quickly so I would be ready. I have my fingers on the mouse key – prepared for action, pressing the mouse I don’t know how many times, but to no avail…(smile) I really want to see this show, but I gues we all do, Oprah has a lot of fans that really love her, Anyway, thanks for offering us the tickets, i’ll just try again today. Hello again..how do you know if you got tickets or not? I did get through on Tues morning in under a minute…i just kept hitting refresh over and over and then it came up …well…I got the screen that asked for all the information and I really didn’t rush to fill it out as they had said on the news that you didn’t have to be a fast typer..I just assumed that once you got that far you were in and got the tickets..you mean it lets everyone in(?) not just fifty? any way after all that I watched it down load to you and just disappear.I have checked my emails all day and nothing..how do you know if you got the tickets…you even asked for my guests name on the screen I got…confused.. please respond,

I was very disappointed that I could not get tickets to Oprah’s taping. I stayed up every night so that I could aquire some ticketsm but I guess it just wasn’t to be. I hope that the next time Oprah is here that there will be a better way to get tickets. I don’t feel this way was fair at all. I celebrated my 66th birthday on April 22nd. I am a house hermit, and have been for 3 years, the only time I leave the house is to go to the doctor, mental health and to court for my disability case. But I would chance sitting in a room full of strangers for a chance to see Oprah live, it may be in the back row,,,, but I can’t even buy a ticket , much less ,win one,,, please.if someone out there has an extra one I will buy it from you. My husband got through on Monday for Oprah tickets. He can go pick up the tickets at the box office, but would rather me take my mother to the taping. Once he picks up the tickets can anyone use them? I notice people “selling” them on Craigslist, which I think is absurd, but I’m assuming since this is going on that maybe the tickets do not have names on them? Please advise if possible. I would like to surprise my mother and invite her to go with me ASAP.

I am sickened by the people selling the tickets that they won for FREE on craigslist for hundreds of dollars. After I wasn’t a winner in the morning’s contest I put an ad on craigslist to see if anyone didn’t need both tickets. Only one response was from a person who is actually going alone if her finacee can’t get time off. Several postings claim to be selling for face value, or V.I.P. seats that cost them hundreds. I had one reply from some jerk claiming to be an employee of HARPO and he’s sell me his ticket for $500. 00.
hopefully there will be an honest person out there somewhere who would actually like to go with another FAN, not just have a fat wallet.

WHEN I TRIED MONDAY MORNING AND COULD NOT GET THE LINK TO OPEN, I THOUGHT I WAS DOING SOMETHING WRONG , AFTER READING SOME OF THE COMMENTS ABOVE I REALIZED THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. I SAT AT MY COMPUTER AND CRIED, I REALLY THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GET TICKETS, IT WOULD BE SO LOVELY TO BE IN THE SAME SPACE AS THREE SUCH LEGENDS AS OPRAH, TINA AND CHER.

I tried for 3 days to get through for tickets, which was a joke.
You know when casinos have a promotion it has to be that it is equal to all persons entering.
This was not a fair way to give away these tickets. What about people who do not have access to a computer, also if people only have dial up, not fair to them and your servers obviously could not handle this method.
I am very disappointed on how this was handled.

Get real people! They only gave out 150 pairs of tickets. No matter how they made them available people would have missed out and been bummed. I personally know a 60+ yr old person that won. So AGE is not a factor to having the ability to use a computer. I think the sad part is the people selling them on Craigslist and eBay. My hope is that when these people meet the buyer for payment, that it is really the Harpo people and the police to arrest them as it is illegal. As for those that missed out, me included, it’s just the way the ball bounces. GET OVER IT! The show will air on Channel 8 on May 8th, we’ll see it then.

I’m a little disappointed that the staff didn’t take the time to answer though after all they asked for the comments or questions…I’m still unsure after reading some of these comments if I won or not???Like I said after I got through and filled out the info it disappeared as it was uploading to them. After you submit the form, if you were one of the (50), the page would have said “Oprah is Coming to Las Vegas!” print this page “Congratulation! You will receive two tickers for you and a guest to attend “Oprah, Cher and Tina in Vegas” with all the specific needed to pick up the tickets and the guidelines for the show. You would have also received an e-mail (later in the day) with the subject line “Congratulations from Channel 8″ and going on to say “The Eyewitness News 8 morning team would like to congratulate you on being one of the first 50 to register for tickets to see Oprah.
I had the same issues you are explaining with getting the form and then when I hit send, I got the black and white error page. My mom got through and received the above stated.
I think Channel 8 gave up responding as they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t sort of speak. However keep in mind, Channel 8 only gave out 300 seats (150 pairs of tickets) to the taping and according to the Caesar’s box office when my mom picked up her tickets, there will be 4,000 people at the taping. Which means there were 3,700 seat tickets given out in other ways that I was never privy to, how about you? If it wouldn’t have been for Channel 8, I would have never knew about the taping.

Oprah stinks. I wouldn’t attend her appearance, if it was in my own front yard. I hope her plans to make Obama President, so he can funnel billions into Africa to make it financially a superpower, FAILS. I hope her plans to EMPOWER blacks with more government incentive handouts, FAILS. Let her spend her own money on those Special Interest causes, not White American tax dollars. Her hidden form of Reparations, is appalling, and should be exposed for what it is. A quiet shakedown.
