Def Comedy Slam: Mick Foley… Stand Up Comic?

Hardcore Pro Wrestling Legend and author Mick Foley, best known for abusing his body in a way that makes a chiropractor think about a purchasing a yacht,  has decided to try something many people would consider equally as horrifying–stand-up comedy.

After the show, I had the chance to talk to Mick about his new career path and the future of TNA. Video posted below.

Foley brought his Total Extreme Comedy tour to the Hilton Saturday afternoon to benefit the Kennedy Foundation’s “Best Buddies” charity.

The Price Is Right Show at Bally’s (Good option for a matinee)

I recently had friends in town staying at Bally’s Hotel & Casino and we decided to go to The Price Is Right show on a Saturday afternoon. Working for CBS (Ch. 8), I of course watch the TV show often. It’s classic. In fact, I attended one of Bob Barker’s shows back in 2001.

The show at Bally’s is not televised, but it is a lot of fun. It takes place in the Jubilee Theater and is hosted by former game show host, Todd Newton. You probably recognize his face. The show uses the same, “come on down” method and the same games. 50 people have the chance to win something. It was really a lot of fun. There is even a showcase showdown and Price is Right models.

Tickets are $49.95 and the show is at 2:30 p.m. It’s a great matinee show if you are looking to have some fun and possibly be a big winner!

Here’s a picture of Todd Newton, me, and my friend Shelly!

“The Hills” Star Stephanie Pratt Hosts at PURE

“The Hills” star Stephanie Pratt took on hosting duties at PURE Nightclub Tuesday night.

Dressed in a blue sequined one-shouldered dress by Brian Lichtenberg, Steve Madden black suede pumps and Lia Sophia jewelry, Stephanie was accompanied by a group of friends including her best friend, Alicia, who was celebrating her birthday. Both girls sported matching two-finger rings handmade by Alicia.

After settling into the VIP booth, Stephanie sipped on FIJI water and happily posed for pictures with her friends and adoring fans alike. Stephanie requested a number of songs including “Tick Tock” by Ke$ha, “Bed Rock” by Lil’ Wayne and “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus, during which she jumped up and danced in a circle with a group of her friends. The group laughed together, breaking out some “Jersey Shore” inspired dance moves including fist pumping in the air.

Stephanie was all smiles, happily shaking hands with PURE partygoers down on the main dance floor, as she greeted them all from the VIP stage area.
