Welcome to the maiden post on this, our new blog for the upcoming 2008 Presidential Election. We want to know what you think about the candidates — did you visit Rudy at Target? Listen to Hillary give her speech? Care to comment on Barack’s fundraising ability? How about Newt’s "ghetto" comment? We want to hear it all.

  1. Hillary at Culinary speech: “I have nothing against rich people… but what made America great is the middle class.”

She got an $8 million advance for her book.

Her husband has received $40 million for giving speeches in the last 6 years…

SHE’S NOT MIDDLE CLASS. She’s a hypocrite who will raise taxes on the middle class.

  2. Obama and the rest of the Democrats are having so much fun bashing Bush about everything. Read my lips you fools, BUSH IS NOT RUNNING. BUSH CAN NOT RUN. YOU ARE NOT RUNNING AGAINST BUSH. Do any of these idiots have a vision!

  3. I think Barack’s positive fundraising ability demonstrates the changing attitude of America, and will usher in a new generation of politics. Is there anyone except the wealthy or large corporations that wants to stay the course of the last 10 years? Where the wealthy have become wealthier, and corporate profits have soared, while at the same time the minimum wage was allowed to stagnate, or where, since 911, much of the world is beginning to question the morality of America’s international politics. I think not.

  4. HILLARY & OBAMA. WHAT A FINE PAIR THEY MAKE. LIKE TWO PUPPIES CHASEING TAILS. NO CONCEPTION OF WHAT IS A STAKE. OUR COUNTRY HAS BEEN SAFE FOR SIX YEARS. WE HAVE STILL HAD TO PAY A HEAVY PRICE. OUR YOUNG SOLDIERS. THEY HAVE PAID THE PRICE FOR THEM TO COMPLAIN, DESENT & BASH THE PRESIDENT. THE THE ONE PERSON WHO WOULD SAVE US FROM ANOTHER 911 & AN EVEN GREATER ATTACK. RICH & PRIVILEGED PEOPLE THAT GOT WHERE THEY ARE BY HOOK OR BY CROOK. GOD HELP US IF THEY GET ANY FURTHER.

  6. Hillary has my vote, and I think she is our very best hope of getting this seemingly impossible mess our great country is in straightened out, if it CAN be straightened out at this point.

  7. Good old Hillary! Squashing the middile income who is the heart of America by backing the Union.

Don’t these politicians and companies realize that supporting the unions they squeezing the non union employee. Union employees don’t pay for a monthly insurance premimum and automatic increases. The productivity doesn’t play a role in the increase.
Insurance premimums for non union employees are over $50 a month for a sinlge, up and over $100 for families with less coverage.

    Doesn’t make sense to me.

Hillary wake up and smell the coffee! You are bringing middle America down.

  8. To the fellow who said “Read my lips you fools”

The last Republican who said “Read My Lips” was lying. Like father like son.

  9. Did we forget what the Clintons did for the American people. Let me tell you nothing. They have way too much backage, and they will bring that same stuff back to the White House and they will spend all their time fighting attorneys. Our country can not take that right now. Hillary need to step down and stop trying to bring Obama down with all that mess she starts to get Obama in conflict with her everybody can see what she is trying to do. I think the Democratic party will make another mistake as they alway do if she get the nomination because they are not ready for a Africian American to be president. Wake up Democratic party and let’s win this one. Obama has a much better chance than Hillary. No one is going to put another Clinton in the White House.

  12. Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch is sponsoring fundraisers for Hillary and funding her campaign.

  13. The corporate media is promoting Hillary 24/7 and have created rockstar Obama to provide the illusion of a competitive race. (she can’t run alone at the top)
And the corporate media promotes candidates who will promote corporate interests - not the interests of most Americans.

You can allow the corporate media to shape your opinions of the candidates or become more informed.
John Edwards has the best plans and solutions for America! Our entire family is voting for him.

  14. I would love to see Barack and
    John as Pres. and Vice.
Hillary is too hard and cold to
be a champion for the people.

    And I wouldn’t vote for a
    republican, because they think
    they are above the law.

  15. Let’s focus on the other candidates like Mr. Guliani. He seems like a resonable candidate for President. My eight year old son asked me last week if there has ever been a woman president. I tried to hold in all the laughter. Seriously Hillary or Osama - chah! how about NOT! There are other candidtates don’t let the smear machine pull you into thinking it’s just these two morons!

    WILLIAM J CLINTON - FOR PRESIDENT 2008. :)

  16. To any of the candidates that said they would issue drivers licenses to illegal immigrants:
Which part of the word “illegal” is not clear to you?
You can never be president, because you would be lying if you were to swear that you would uphold the law!

    Comment by robert verheijen — November 16, 2007 @ 7:59 am

  17. My question would be to all the president candidates
With all of our sources, water power, gas, going up up up and our paychecks arent, how do you remedy this problem? Do you feel it is important to have each state be audited before you take office? I call it countability before service?

    Comment by Erin Lougy — November 16, 2007 @ 9:00 am

  18. In response to #7, by Terry Deem. WHAT????? I’m in a union and I pay 183.00 a month for health care, soon to increase to 230.00 a month. You mention “for less coverage” thats because YOUR NON UNION!! Unions aren’t everything they used to be. However at your non union job your boss can walk up to you tomorrow and tell you to take a hike as his nephew needs a job, yours. What can you do about it, nothing but start looking for another. The union worker say fine, leaves and later after the UNION presents its case and or suit the union employee returns as he collects his check for back pay! As for productivity your at the WHIM of your boss as whats “productive” that he can change day to day. Union workers have it in writing and when they increase it our pay goes up, does yours?

So you better hope they the support the unions. Because do you really belive you’ll ever make more than a union shop? Also if the unions are forced in to lower wages you can bet your ass, you will see a paycut too, and because you have no union you’ll take it or leave.

Middle class is a joke, unions are still trying to hold on those “middle class jobs’ everything else for the common man is what used to be called “working poor”. Thanks to the management officals who get bigger and bigger bonuses for paying you less and less. Middle class lives payday to payday, if your not making that your working poor. As your bosses take what used to be yours to THEIR bank.

    Comment by Duane — November 16, 2007 @ 2:55 pm

  19. That was the biggest collection of losers in any debate. Only one candidate in either of the two major parties: that is Ron Paul. Time for voters to read real books, and get their heads out of the Communist sands.

    Comment by Gerald A. Sills — November 16, 2007 @ 5:12 pm

  20. Hillary turns in another sub-par performance and the media swoons all over her. Do we need another President who is only elected on the strength of their last name? This is Bush all over again.

From the debate we learned that Hillary doesn’t have a plan for Social Security, thinks that people who make nearly $100,000 are “middle class”, has failed at healthcare reform for over 30 years, and is now against undocumented workers getting driver’s licenses. That is about the full extent of the positions she took. Oh yes, she is for abortion rights like every other Democrat.

Hillary says that we should trust her on health care — even though her husband has received more than $3 million dollars (since 2000) speaking in front of the health care lobbiests. In June, 2005 he got $150,000 for a speech in front of “America’s Health Care Plans” which is the health insurance lobby. Do you really think that the true middle class is going to benefit from her plan to force every American to buy health insurance?

    Comment by George — November 17, 2007 @ 7:06 am

  21. Correction to above. Senator Clinton’s husband made $1.6 million speaking to healthcare groups. He made $3.9 million speaking to groups who identify themselves as lobbiests or industry organizations such as the National Association of Realtors ($125,000), Biotech Industry Organization ($150,000), Antwerp Diamond high council ($200,000) and the Woman’s International Zionist Organization ($125,000).

    Comment by George — November 17, 2007 @ 7:28 am

  22. Immigration is needed as this country grows older and Barack understands the hard work ethic of many immigrants. No they don’t need to be coming here earning money and sending it back home. This should be their home. Barack wants to help them feel this is their home. Drivers liscense are needed for a safe experience on the road as these people will drive hillary on the other hand is pandering to voters who don’t understand the need.

Barack may say things that sound unpopular but i am sure enough voters see the truth and will support him because he speaks the truth.

Edwards is the one working with Hillary to take away voters from Barack. Edwards is a bilderberg candidate and is only in the race to give angry voters a chioce which hurts those of us who know the truth.

The clintons may have saved $ temporarily but the 1994 clinton crime bill which took away pell grants from prisoners have caused us an increase of us now having a 70% recidivism rate and we pay 100k to keep each one in jail. Clinton would never reducew crack cocaine and we pay 100k to keep them in jail. Prisions are now privatized and its big business which is costing the tax payers lots more. We use to have a 30% recidivism rate. Now its 70%.
The clintons welfare to work bill passage never funded the mothers for proper education and so marian wright edleman spoke on julky 24th about this to amy goodman at deomcracy now dot org about it and about how hillary hurt children when she was on the board of the childrensdefensefund dot org.

Barack also knew about pakistan and tried to alert the public back in july. Now we all see the problems and how bush is manipulating another war there with mushairf.

Don’t fall for the hype. barack cares and is trying his best to speak out the truth but not enough to get killed. He does care for us and wants to make changes.
