A construction worker was killed this morning at the 61-acre redevelopment site in downtown Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Fire Department says the accident happened shortly after 8 a.m. as the worker was cutting a pipe at the Bonneville and Grand Central Parkway site. 

The worker was cutting the pipe near a trench when the pipe fell on the man.

Eyewitness News at 4 will have the latest.
