What they did not say was that depite the fact that this shooting did not occur on Bonanza High School property, CCSD Police Officers arrived in seconds. On scene, these officers rendered first aid to the victim, collected suspect and suspect vehicle information, gathered witnesses and even secured the crime scene. All this was done PRIOR to the arrival of LVMPD Officers. Many thanks to the CCSDPD that rarely, if ever get the credit for the job they perform. I saw the interview that LVMPD Detectives gave. Gangs are just young teenagers and older who need to have others to stand with them, they cant do that on their own and be their own person! In our day we cared enough about our friends not to involve them in our arguements with another. We didnt need no gun, we used our fists, and it seems with gang members today they cant do nothing without a gun! For instance alot of O G's that rap, they make gangs out to be so glamorous, YET, they dont want their kids growing up like this but the heck with every one elses they can get shot!!!? It IS scary because these gang members dont see with their own eyes they could be the next on the street lying dead, and dead is pretty done to me! Its not what God wants for us and yet they talk about God and how they believe in him? Yes something does have to be done about this problem so WE ALL can live in Las Vegas!! If these gangs would do something productive together maybe they wouldnt have so much time on their hands for fighting and shooting and get some respect from everyone not just the other gang members doing the wrong thing today!!!!!!!!Kids are very impressionistic and the songs today are very violent, it makes you wonder do these gang members have any FUN? Or are they all just sick individuals without any care or concern to life itself? And yes in the case at Palo Verde or Bonanza or alot of the schools today NO NO NO you dont want to send your kids into harms way!!!! The schools dont want to refresh their knowledge of gangs and how they act, what they do! I say live video camaras on the school grounds and a person behind those cameras to watch for gang activity and at the slightest gang movement arrest them!!! The expence, well in my mind, any expence is well worth the kids safety, and their freedom to go to school without fear and get an education, so they can rise above the ignorance and poverty of gang members!!
