Unions representing 900 workers at two downtown Las Vegas casinos owned by Boyd Gaming Corp. have reached a tentative long-term contract agreement with management.

The new deal covers workers at the Main Street Station and Fremont hotel-casinos who are represented by the Culinary Workers Union and the Bartenders Union.

The agreement will be presented for ratification by union members on Saturday.

The properties are the first downtown casinos to come to a deal with the unions.

About 7,000 union workers are still in negotiations or working under extended contracts at 10 downtown properties, the Tropicana casino-hotel on the Strip, and two industrial laundries.
