Suspicious Package Closed Streets in Downtown Las Vegas

(5:45 p.m.) All downtown streets are now open. Police have determined the package was not a threat.

(5:15 p.m.) — Police blocked off streets near the downtown post office because of a suspicious package.

The package was found outside the post office at Las Vegas Boulevard and Carson Street.

Police say it was detonated just before 2 p.m. While they investigated its contents, they completely shut down  Las Vegas Boulevard  between Fremont and Clark Streets and Fremont and Clark Streets before 4th and 7th Streets.
