Every Tuesday is now Local Ladies’ Night at Nove Italiano inside Palms Casino Resort. It offers female customers 50 percent off their entire bill and complimentary VIP access into Playboy Club, Moon Nightclub and Ghostbar. The weekly discount launched in February has been extended because of its popularity. Girlfriends have the opportunity to catch up with friends, over cocktails and nibbles, every Tuesday night. Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit launched ticket sales for its fifth annual event, May 5-8, 2011. More than twenty local chefs were rasied from an underground lucite chamber into the middle of the Great Hall of Fashion Show Mall. Chefs and Master Sommeliers from Bellagio, Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and Wynn | Encore will particpate in the four-day extravaganza held each Mother’s Day weekend. Flemings Steakhouse in Summerlin will salute female wine makers with a special dinner next Friday, October 22nd. The Restaurant is showcasing winemakers from Napa Valley, like Kristin Belair of Honig wines and Cathy Corison of Corison Wines. In all, three female vintners will have their wine paired with a one course of a four course meal. The Women and Wine Dinner is $95 per person. Paris Hotel is in the midst of a month long celebration of French wines. There are cooking demonstrations and wine seminars. KNPR Radio is hosting two wine tastings at Napolean’s. The first is October 14th, the other the 28th. Tickets are $100 per night, or $150 for both nights. Aureole, at Mandalay Bay, wrapped up a three day wine weekend with a sweet treat. Executive Pastry Chef and Author of “It’s a sweet life”, Megan Romano, hosted a dessert and wine pairing Sunday afternoon.

Guests were guided through the process of making a decadent chocoloate genache, dressing desserts with citrus shavings and creating peanut brittle. The intimate group then visited “sweet stations” where Romano’s pastries were paired with the perfect sparkling wine.

Seven stops, each better than the last. A delcious way to end an educational and delcious weekend.

The Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group is partnering with Whole Foods Market in Summerlin for a series of free cooking classes throughout the summer. On the third Thursday of June, July and August, executive teams will demonstrate their signature recipes and teach guests how to use seasonal ingredients to create the dishes at home. The MGM Grand hosted a poolside bash to kick off summer. Wet Republic set the stage with live music and dancers. Food and drink booths lined the water’s edge.

Seablue’s Executive Chef Stephen Hopcraft is all smiles. His tuna appetizer with pomengrantes is a hit and all of his visitors want to know about his upcoming appearance on Bravo’s Top Chef. Shhhh…. It’s top secret.

Exec. Chef Matt Seeber and his Craftsteak crew should be happy with the way their short ribs turned out. Served with creamy potatoes, they were melt in mouth good.

Origin India Executive Chef Kuldeep Singh will share kitchen secrets at a series of free cooking demonstrations at Whole Foods. Singh is known for showcasing Asian-Indian food with a modern and refined flare.

Singh is teaming up with Pan Asian specialist, Jet Tila. Tila is Executive Chef at Encore’s Wazuzu and borrows from Thailand, Vietnam, China, Korea and Japan for his menu items. The first class, the Curry Connection, is set for May 18, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Whole Foods Town Square.

‘High Society’ is Nove’s spin on the Sunday Brunch. The dining room is turned into an ultra lounge, 51 stories above the Las Vegas Strip. The buffet features a carnival of cuisine with summer salads, fresh seafood, pizza, paninis, and pastries.

Leave room for dessert! Colossal cupcakes and individual sized sweets will have you making a second trip to the sweets table. The inventive cocktail menu will keep you sipping all afternoon. The wait staff is decked out in themed attire and will have you longing for the days of Marie Antoinette. For $30, it’s one of the best brunches around.
