Alleged Theives Attack Man on Street

Metro is searching for two suspects — a man and a woman – in a street robbery that happened July 31, 2009.
Police say the robbery happened around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Maryland Pkwy. and Bonanza. The suspects asked the victim for $1 and when he refused, police say, he was thrown to the ground and robbed. Anyone with information is asked to call (702)385-5555.

New Sex Offender Laws Found Unconstitutional

WHAT: Nevada’s tough new sex offender laws which would have classified offenders by crime have been found unconstitution.

Second Arrest Made in Shooting of Palo Verde Teen

Metro police announced the arrest of 18-year-old Ezekial Williams. Police say Williams was the driver of the car that fired upon a group of students walking home from school last Friday.

Williams was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one charge of accessory to murder and three counts of accessory to attempted murder.

The suspected gunman, 16-year-old Gerald Davison already faces charges of murder and attempted murder. Police say Davison opened fire on 15-year-old Chris Privett from the back seat of a car while Williams was driving.

Metro and School District Police are investigating a shooting near Palo Verde High School and another near Whitney Ranch Elementary.

At the Palo Verde shooting, there are reports that one person was shot just as school was let out for the day. It is unclear if the shooting involved students. There is still no word on a condition for the victim.

The other shooting occurred near Whitney Elementary School off of Tropicana between Boulder Highway and Jimmy Durante. There are initial reports that two teens were fighting behind the school.

6 People Shot at Bus Stop

bus_stop_shooting_02_180.jpgbus_stop_shooting_02_180.jpgA Mojave High School student told police he “accidently bumped” into shooting suspect, Nicco Tatum, which touched off a fight that eventually lead to six people being shot at a school bus stop. On Wednesday night, police arrested 18-year-old Tatum.

Four teens and two adults were shot at the bus stop. Police say two of the victims were shot in the torso. The victims were apparently shot while getting off a school bus.

An explosion of pit bulls on the streets of Las Vegas is getting downright dangerous according to Animal Control experts. Backyard breeders are raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars by selling ever-bigger and meaner pit bulls.

Local animal shelters are overwhelmed with pit bulls that have been abandoned by their owners. Many of them are deformed because of inbreeding or mauled because of organized fighting.
