One of the biggest issues today is our sluggish economy. It’s not just the housing market or rising gas prices that people are concerned about. Grocery prices are up across the board and a new poll finds many families are having a tough time putting food on the table.

It’s a shame that you have to decide whether to pay $ 4.00 per Gal. for gas or $ 4.00 per Gal. for Milk coupled together with every thing else that has risen to a point that it’s harder than ever to be on Social Security and try to spread it thinner to make it go farther.

Amen and Amen it is a shame to have to decide to eat or put gas in the car to get to work to earn a megerly paycheck, as everything rises our paychecks stay the same. We have no in between, we have poor - on public assistance - and we have rich, and the government telling us this is not gouging - hah! So all the gas prices all across the United States just go up at the same time? Whatever, I pray everyday that the American people realize we need to love one another, be kind to one another because we are all we have to depend on - the government is apparrently trying desparately to destroy us.

Yes,
Soaring prices for food that has no nutrition. We
have to eat 50 pounds of spinich to get the same vitamins that our grandparents did; Soil Depletion. Apples, Strawberries, cheeses, milks, potatoes and other items
are coated with 200 different pesticides. We don’t
replenish our soil like Australia does (they grind
up stone and replace the lost minerals). All we do
is set ourselves up to increase the Rockefeller’s giant
hold on agri-business around the world while we eat
food about as healthy as the cardboard box that it comes in. We are being robbed of our health, our
nutrition and our future. How long are we going to
pay to be poisoned? We have over 50,000 additives now
compared to 7,000 when I grew up. In history we will
go down as the biggest blithering idiots of nutrition and health.
Good Luck for the young generation,
Nancy Baird

When is congress gonna get off there butts and say enough with there tax credit, and there trillions of dollars in profits? When it comes down to if its gonna be gas in your car to get to work,or food on the table to feed your family, dosent take a genuis to see where the problem lays. Its not democrats,or republican, its the fats cats getting richer, and all of us paying! To hear the big oil companies tell us its not there fault for the high prices, what a slap in the face! I dont see a recssion, its gonna be a depression!!!

It is a horriable time we are in and our country is in trouble. We/Myself Included, blame our government, our congress, and everyone else who we see is at fault however, if we could for one moment see w/ a spiritual eye and truely be open to what the Word of God says, WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS…These things are truth to Gods Word. For many years it has been said “people have been saying this for 2000 years”.
But, his return is near and these things will happen before his return. The scripture says “Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” So, Praise God for this is the day we live in.

Yes the prices for gas, housing, and food are way to high. I can tell you were the blame if for food. It’s the Big wigs up top. They are telling the stores to cut hours cut hours. Give the employees 20 hours a week. You have to make labor. Write people up for overtime. They raise the price of food so high and don’t pay their workers a good wage and we’re union. How much do these big wigs get paid why don’t they take a pay cut. Here’s a thought if you lower the prices more people will shop and more product will get sold. As you can tell I work for a grocery store i place most of the blame on the big shots. The big shots get bounses for a job well done. Do they ever share the bounses with they people who actually do the hard work. The rest of the blame I lay is on some people that i would not call customers they are shoplifters. Stealing cart full of beer, diapers, seafood, lobster tails or an entire cart full of liquid Tide and the do this week after week. Real customes and store employee need to help stop these shoplifters and take back their stores.

I got laid off a few months ago as well as many Amercians did. And I have witness that a lot of non English speaking personel have driven expensive cars and own very nice homes working at the best resort in town. I myself have been in this country for 35 years living from day to day. Although I had the training and experience with the position I am looking for, but the market are overwhemed with illegals. And for Mr Austin Schmidt have to be in that sitatuation my heart breaks.

This is crazy, we will all be eating bread and water soon. Feel sorry for the elderly. Albertsons has increased prices so much in a week its a joke. People need to boycott them. Smiths prices are still ok.
example: Milk 2 gallons for $5.00 @ Smiths
Coffee (maxwell house) 13.69 @ Albertsons
7.99 @ Smiths
Is Albertsons crazy.
The news should do a comparison shopping trip.
My friends and I are all watching prices for each other and if we see a sale we let each other know. Got to bargain shop now.
They have sites for low gas prices we are going to need that for food prices soon.
