World’s Oldest Profession Looks to Advertise in Phonebook
If you want to find something quick, you might turn to the Yellow Pages. Those massive books have pages and pages of ads connecting you with what you want. But one controversial business is being told they can’t advertise.
Talking to Bob Fisher, you get a sense he doesn’t like what he sees in the phone book, page upon page of ads for adult entertainment. Don’t be fooled, though. Fisher is no moral crusader, he’s the lawyer for the Chicken Ranch Brothel and he’s been doing it for more than 20 years.

First off, Nevada is the only state that allows brothels…so if you need to advertise in a phone book you’ve got problems. Sort of like if Britney was upset a newspaper of an unincoporated town didn’t publish her latest scandal. No wait, should I bet max or only one coin on the slots to win the megabucks….it DOESN’t MATTER!!! Really, 99% of the WORLD knows Nevada has brothels….if Joe Smith needs to see an ad in a phonebook, you think he’s smart enough to get there? Ummm, taxi, the Chicken Ranch……his luck he might end up with the feathered kind. It’s time Vegas (whoa, “Sin City”) just makes prostitution legal so we can stop all the wasted police hours chasing consenting adults and goes after the gangs and guns.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME ? JUST LOOK IN THE NEW EMBARQ YELLOW PAGES. THEY HAVE 100 (YES ONE HUNDRED !) PAGES OF ADS FOR HOOKERS (THEY’RE JOKINGLY LISTED AS “ENTERTAINERS”… OH YEAH, “LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU !”), MOST OF THEM EXPENSIVE FULL-PAGE ADS… STARTING WITH “BARELY LEGAL TEEN HOTLINE..FULL SERVICE.. DIRECT TO YOU”, “COLLEGE TEENS”, “BARBIE GIRLS”, “MATURE WOMEN”, “NAUGHTY BLOND”, “DISCOUNT BAD GIRLS”… THE LIST IS LONG AND LAUGHABLE ! WHO SAYS PROSTITUTION IS ILLEGAL IN CLARK COUNTY ?!?! WHAT A JOKE ! IT’S HIGH TIME IT WAS LEGALIZED, REGULATED AND HEAVILY TAXED, FREEING UP OUR POLICE AND COURTS, AND PROVIDING A HUGE SOURCE OF BADLY NEEDED REVENUE FOR OUR PATHETIC EDUCATION SYSTEM….. I don’t have to read the rest of the article! Look at the massage section!!!! Legitimate therapists are being told by the Board of Commissioner’s Director Jaqueline Holloway that the County wants to give us a curfew because of problems. The ordinance for massage continuously refers to Therapists as working in the offices of health care providers, and in fact emphasized that’s what we are…health care providers. Show me the stripper that is renting space in a chiropractor office that must maintain “a separate entrance/egress from the…provider’s patient care areas”, or a hospital that has to use “certified, calibrated photometric equipment” for a field measurement of at least “seven and a half footcandles” (no joke) for the escorts working out of their offices.
Legalize Prostitution, make them pay taxes, and get checked out by Doctors.
Anyone know what the oldest profession in the world is???
