bus_stop_shooting_02_180.jpgbus_stop_shooting_02_180.jpgA Mojave High School student told police he “accidently bumped” into shooting suspect, Nicco Tatum, which touched off a fight that eventually lead to six people being shot at a school bus stop. On Wednesday night, police arrested 18-year-old Tatum.

Four teens and two adults were shot at the bus stop. Police say two of the victims were shot in the torso. The victims were apparently shot while getting off a school bus.

  3. What I want to know is who aided this suspect in a bus ticket and an airplane ticket. Will that person(s) be held responsible for aiding a criminal to avoid prosecution?

  4. This so scares me because I live around 5 blocks from where it happened. Also, I swear I’ve heard gunshots going off at night a few times so I try to stay home at night, but now it seems that even broad daylight is not safe.

  5. The gangland mentality is ridiculous. I’ve heard it before. Someone accidently bumps into someone who’s a gangmember, or a troublemaker, and the loser starts swinging. My brother was the victim of someone like that, just because they were both walking on the sidewalk, going opposite directions. My brother bumped into the guy, and the guy punched my brother. He expected my brother to step aside, like he owns the sidewalk. These people have a certain arrogance. Well, GOD will deal with their arrogance, and he will SQUASH IT! Gang members think they can rob, kill, intimidate, etc. But they won’t do that to God. I am not judging them, but in the Holy Bible I know of, those types better repent, or they will not make it to Heaven. PERIOD! It’s a shame that this situation happened a few weeks before Christmas. I don’t feel sorry for those hoodlums. I pity them, i laugh at them, because they thought they got away with what they did, but they won’t. The one punk got caught, and the other one will thrown into the pokey soon, too. They’re both looking at atttempted murder. That’s on them! Nobody put the gun into their hands except for them! Soon, they will have to pay the piper.

I hope the kid shot in serious condition makes it out ok, and that those perpetrators didn’t do any major damage. Same with the other kid in the hospital.

  7. Forget aout the tickets where did these two kids get a 9mm abd a 45. Are they stolen do they belong to the parents. How is it that weapons are so available to kids. Also where do they get the money to buy them?

  8. Heavenly father please help these kids.

My prayers are out for the victim’s and their families.
For the kids that actually did the crime….my heart goes out to you I just can not believe that you have such hatred in your hearts for doing just a terrible thing…a bump that does not leave a scratch on you and you go off like that. My question is this where are the parents and why do they let thier kids run wild like this…well all I can say is that it starts from home.
I just hope the police find these kids and justice teach them a lesson. “Advice” What goes around comes around and if you want to show off your tough please there is another way…use your brains hit the books to prove that you are better and tough do something for you and your families.

    GOD BLESS US ALL

  9. These misguided youth are definitely naughty. What we need to do is to redouble our efforts to improve their self esteem so that they no longer need to put on a macho front.

  12. I came to Las Vegas in ‘89. i seemed a friendly place back then, people smiled held open doors for others as a courtisey. now a child who tries to get a education has to worry of being shot and killed by a social reject.where are the parents of this loser, OH thats right they all claim ” My son is a good boy and would never hurt anyone.” even though they are a dropout loser with no future. are the parents that stupid or not caring to notice JR being a criminal?

  13. This Tatum jerk should be sent away for life, for not only shooting 6 other kids, but for endangering the lives of every single student on that bus. There’s no hope for him, no finding Jesus, no rehabilitation, no second chance, and no forgiveness. Send this angry young punk to prison for the rest of his life, he’s just bad seed and there’s no changing him and his disregard for human life!

  14. In fact, let’s make it a crime to be a part of a gang period! Send them out of Las Vegas to a prison work camp in Alaska somewhere with no contact with the outside world for 2 years and then see how well they behave when they are allowed back into society. All gangs are bad, period.

  15. And all you people that are preaching forgiveness, and “God’s gonna get you for that when you die”, that’s not good enough. We as a God-fearing nation owe it to our kids to protect them NOW from these scumbags, you can’t stop it with a bible unless your bible is bulletproof.

  16. First I pray for all the families involved, second I wonder why the young man that was supposedly the target didn’t get adults involved(mom, dad, school)he said he felt scared the day before.why get his friends unless he wanted to match violence with violence. He is just as guilty for endangering his cohorts as the ones that did the shooting…come on when are these kids going to wake up and realize that violence is not an answer, and stop acting like tuff guys…..get an adult…Call the police…..

  17. I am the 40 yr old woman he shot a week before this, not because of my dogs but because him and 10 gang members tried to jump my son for no reason and I was not going to let that happen. Why did it take so long for the police to find him when they knew the night I was shot who did it? These children would’ve never been shot.

    Comment by Tracy B — January 14, 2008 @ 11:19 am

  18. i know this was awhile ago but you all think you know the real story behind this the shoting was not over a girl the shoting was because of racial comments i know i was there you all think that two people where fighting over a girl its a lie i dont know who i was telling you all it was over a girl but whoever did lied to you two boys got into a fight on the bus the day before on of the kid that was saying the raical remarks was scared to fight the others and so he called for his family to come back him up so they did and they all fought the day of the big arggument on the bus then the next day the kids that where getting the racial remakes said to them wanted to get back at the other student that was saying them so i guess they decided to shoot it was not over a girl it was because some teen boy made racial comments to a group of teen boys it was gang violence pretty much [[mexicans and blacks]] Tatum did not shoot he had a gun but didnt shoot it was his “friends/family” that did it Tatum would never do anything like that he loves that school and i know he didnt do it i was there
