It ain’t The Sopranos but with names like William ‘Slick’ Hanner, Joey ‘The Clown’ Lombardo and Tony ‘The Ant’ Spilotro, it’s pretty darn close. And let’s face it — anything that gets a quote like "He’s a liar, he’s a pimp, he’s a thief," out of Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman has got to be good.
Do you have any "inside" information or do you just love everything Godfather-esque? What’s your favorite mob movie, book or TV show? Tell all — we want to know.
They should just let all of this go. Whats going to be the benefit of going after these guys 25+ years later? These guys kept Vegas decent. Look at what’s come of it since then…

Spending half of my life being closely associated with many of the familiar names
while in Chicago & Vegas for the last 33 years, leads me to believe the prosecution is
trying very hard to pin the tail on a donkey!

My favorite mob tv show was either the Frank Rosenthal Show or Nevada Week in Review when I hosted it.

Many years ago I was a drummer in Baltimore and one of the bands I was in got booked for a gig in Savannah Georgia. I met the guy that ran this place and his name is Louis “Lou the tailor” Rosanova, a chieftain in the Chicago mob. He was good friends with Dean Martin and they played golf together in Phoenix. Before I moved to Las Vegas a couple of years ago, I lived in north Baltimore and my neighbor two houses away who was an Olympic gold medallist, was formerly married to Dean Martin’s son. It’s a small world. From everything I hear, Vegas was a better town back in those days.

I knew Lou”The Tailor”Rosanova for several years before his death. I had no idea who he was and I would hit golf balls with him several times a week. He was very helpful with my game and well schooled in golf. Following his death someone mentioned to me a hint of a shady past and I jumped on the internet. I was blown away by the life this quiet old man had led.I still think he was a kind man.
